This is a special cruise which can only be taken when the tide allows during the year to the Saxon town of Wareham. It takes approximately an hour and ten minutes to travel from busy Poole Quay, along the Frome river until you reach Wareham, where you can enjoy the specialty shops, boutiques, art galleries, bistros and pubs. Along the way our skipper will give you a commentary happily pointing out places of interest and wildlife within Poole Harbour and also along the river Frome.
On arrival alongside the beautiful quayside at Wareham we will moor up for an hour and ten minutes allowing you time to explore and enjoy the town.
The cruise takes approximately 3 and half hours in duration which includes the time ashore. There is a grassy area on the opposite bank to where the boat is moored, where you can enjoy a picnic or something from the many local eateries. Teas, coffees, wine, beer and snacks are all available on board the boat. Toilet facilities are available onboard.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The Frome River to Wareham is TIDAL, therefore please check on our website, or our booking office to establish whether the tide is favourable on the day or evening you have chosen. The Frome river is shallow in places, and as such only one of our boats is able to travel to Wareham this way, which is The Purbeck Gem.
